06FAQ · Plain answers

The questions that come up before, during, and after the first plan.

Three of these — about architects, plant survival, and planning permission — matter enough that we've stamped them. Drafty is a planning aid, not a permit.

  • No. Photos you upload are used only to generate your plan and reel. We don't use them to train Drafty's models or sell them to third parties. You can delete them anytime from /app/billing.

  • No — and we want to be very plain about this. Drafty produces reference garden plans for personal use. They are not landscape-architect plans, they are not gardener consultations, and they are not engineering certifications. Anything involving structural loads, drainage, electrical work, or boundary walls must be reviewed by a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

  • Yes. Cancel with one click from /app/billing or via the Stripe customer portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period; we never bill you again after cancellation.

  • Credits are service usage, not currency. They are non-refundable and non-transferable. We refund unused subscription periods within 14 days for first-time customers (per UK Consumer Contracts Regulations); see /refund-policy for the full picture.

  • Drafty maps to general climate zones (USDA / RHS hardiness) but cannot account for your microclimate, soil pH, or local pests. Always confirm with a nearby garden centre before buying — and never assume a plant in the reel will survive without watering schedule and soil prep.

  • Building walls, fences over a certain height, drainage changes, and tree removal can require planning permission depending on where you live. Drafty plans don't check this. You are responsible for confirming local rules and not encroaching on neighbours' or public land. See /acceptable-use.

  • The Plot plan is licensed for personal projects. Atelier includes a small-business license for client deliverables, with handover PDFs that mark Drafty as the source. See /content-license.

  • Anywhere Stripe operates. We're a UK company (Scotland, № SC333546), bill in USD, and apply VAT/sales tax according to your billing country.
